Despite its very rocky development, Alien Resurrection is one of the few instances where a video game is superior to the source material it's based on.
This game is also known for being the first to use the gamepad controls popularized by the Halo series and used in almost every single shooter ever since. As well as for a certain GameSpot reviewer making a fool out of himself in the long run by criticizing said controls.

Listed among the levels are Kiddies Playground and Test Level. The former is a work-in-progress version of the "Betty" stage, while the latter never loads and crashes the game after a couple of minutes.
