Quite literally more of the same, although the AI is marginally improved and does a couple more things than just stand and fire. If Army Men 1 was the "realism level pack", then Army Men 2 is the "household level pack".
Unused Weapon
The Firecracker from the first game returns with identical functions, though the Uberdevice pickup is now miscolored. The codes for obtaining it is 01039DC3 and 0132A0C3 (the addresses were shifted only two bytes forward from the first game).
Slot 06, which held the unused Mines in the previous version, is now the Flag item used in the 2-player game link mode, which is useless in Single Player.
Unused Graphics
The "Sarge" tiles that were used to display "SARGE HEALTH" on the HUD in the first game have been removed from the tilemap and replaced with just "HEALTH", but the "SARGE" tiles still exist in memory.
Erased Text?
At 00D0 to 00D9 is a cluster of value 20 characters, normally used in plaintext to denote a "space" character. The space after these ten characters fills out the rest of the bank (up to 00FF) with repeated value FF characters. This seems to indicate a message was here at some point, which was unfortunately erased some time before the final build.
Also of note, there is a repeating *.*.*. pattern using 2A and 12 just before this.
