A browser game based on an April Fool's video posted on PlatinumGames' YouTube channel, Bayonetta: Angel Land pits the witch against an endless swarm of Affinities and Dears. Unfortunately, she cannot dodge, or move left or right, unlike in the video.

Rodin can occasionally be heard playing this when you visit the shop in Bayonetta 2.

This prank saw a second (third?) burst of life on April Fool's Day 2017, where it was released on Steam under the name 8-Bit Bayonetta (which is technically misleading as the game is designed to look like a 16-bit game) as both a prank and a teaser for the PC port of the original Bayonetta. It was delisted from Steam on April 11 to make way for the real game.

Unused Graphics

Animations of Bayonetta walking, dodging, and punching. Since she cannot walk, dodge, or punch in this game, these go unused. Only the last frame of the punching animation would be used as her standard bullet attack.
