GraphicsIcon.png This game has unused graphics.
SoundIcon.png This game has unused sounds.
RegionIcon.png This game has regional differences.

A simple mini-game collection with easily replaceable pre-rendered bitmaps and FMVs.

Hmmm...
To do:
Document more unused content, duplicate files, regional and console differences.

Unused Sounds

CakeScene

Greetings, Professor Falken (audio/newsound.WAV)

In the CakeScene mini-game folder, an unused audio clip can be found; it is a clip from the movie WarGames.

spothidden

The Microsoft Sound (msoft.wav)

In the folder for the Where's Pilchard mini-game (spothidden) a copy of the Windows 95 Startup Sound can be found.

Torture.WAV

An unused take of dialogue by Wendy in Where's Pilchard with an unusual filename.

Unused Graphics

Frontend Scene

officebackgroundtest.bmp

BobTheBuilder officebackgroundtest.png

A version of officebackground.bmp with a smaller file size.

TEXT-WHERESPUD.bmp

BobTheBuilder TEXT-WHERESPUD.png

Text saying "WHERE'S SPUD?", presumably earlier in development Spud was chosen for the mini-game instead of Pilchard.

Hmmm...
To do:
Uppercase/lowercase mini-game title graphics and more.

CakeScene

test_sprite.bmp

BobTheBuilder Test sprite.png

Presumably a test brush bitmap left by the developers in the cake mini-game.

Regional Differences

The US and European versions both have different dubs for the voice clips and FMVs. This is also true for the PlayStation version.

Frontend Scene/Sounds/fanfares/FF_Hogs.WAV

US Europe

In the US release, the word "hedgehog" was changed to "porcupine".

Hmmm...
To do:
Provide more examples (FMV, Graphics)

Duplicate Files

Frontend Scene/Sounds/fanfares/hedgehog rescue.wav

Game uses the file Frontend Scene/Sounds/fanfares/FF_Hogs.WAV. This however is the file for the British dub in both versions.

spothidden/music.wav

Game uses the file spothidden/PilchardSounds/PilchardMusic.wav.

spothidden/Where.WAV

Game uses the file spothidden/PilchardSounds/WendyWhere1.WAV. This file is also left over from the European version.

spothidden/PilchardSounds/Copy of Pilchard Purr.wav

Exactly what it says.

spothidden/snore.wav

Another copy of the file mentioned above.

Bowl.bmp

Duplicate of spothidden/Bowl.bmp.

Are u sure.bmp

Duplicate of Frontend Scene/Are u sure.bmp.

Hmmm...
To do:
Find more European leftovers... and other duplicates.

Oddities

A few bitmaps have the incorrect color used for transparency (pureblack, #000000) and therefore appear incorrectly in-game. The issue does not occur on the PlayStation version.

In-Game View Fixed Bitmap
BobTheBuilder BirthdayBG.png BobTheBuilder BirthdayBG Fix.png

In one of the Where's Pilchard scenes, the house background uses the color #040404 for its transparent areas instead of #000000, essentially rendering everything behind the house, including Pilchard, invisible. The only way to find her is by clicking around aimlessly.

Hmmm...
To do:
RadiatorRiddleScene Graphics.
