"Gemwipe"

There is a swapping glitch where if you make a vertical match, then swap 2 gems horizontally above the matched area, and then move gems beside where you matched, it gets rid of a gem falling from above. Experienced players know this bug as a "Gemwipe" and it's even considered a technique on the Bejeweled Wikia exclusively to Bejeweled 3/Classic.

The same technique but performed differently with a Hypercube. Note that the Hypercube was able to be moved without activating.
