The CD-i Digital Video Cartridge (DVC for short) gave Philips' multimedia console twice the RAM and proper MPEG-1 video support, allowing it to play Video-CDs and run more powerful games. A notable improvement, though why the base console couldn't have shipped with the DVC's features is anyone's guess.
