The 3DO Interactive Multiplayer (as in Multimedia) is released in America for a whopping US$700. It is, however, significant in being the first 32-bit based console released in America. Also released was the first (not really) 64-bit console, the Atari Jaguar, which also happened to be Atari's last console. Nintendo packs 4 Mario titles in 1 cartridge. Towards the end of the year, one of the most influential FPSes in the world was released.
