An educational console aimed at kids, based on Genesis hardware. Introduced in 1993, the system sold well in Japan but did poorly in North America and Europe (where it was introduced in 1994), leading Sega to discontinue the console there in 1998.

The Pico continued to be supported in Japan and was later manufactured by Sega Toys until it was superseded by the Advanced Pico Beena in 2005. This absurd longevity meant that you got some pretty funky combos from Heisei-era media, such as Pokémon on a Sega console.
