Okay, what exactly is this category supposed to be used for? It says it's for "the odd game that features playable characters" but there are a handful of pages in this category that just have characters (or references to characters) that aren't playable. Either those pages need to be removed from this category or the description needs to be changed to explain what should count as an unused character. Also, if this category is really only for playable characters, shouldn't it be called "Category:Games with unused playable characters" instead? Onoreo 00:23, 19 March 2012 (EDT)

It is indeed intended for unused playable characters. That is to say, ones that are, in some sense playable. Ergo, I agree that this category does not necessarily belong on the Super Smash Bros. Brawl page; there are *references* to unused characters, but none that are in any way *usable*. To make this into a generic "characters" category would make it utterly meaningless -- any unused sprite found in a game would technically qualify, for instance. My two cents, at any rate. -YK YK-sig.png 01:05, 19 March 2012 (EDT)

Definition of "characters"

What exactly is meant by "characters"? How wide can this be taken? For example, in case of RTS games, would unused vehicles, soldiers and structures be part of this, or would that rather fall under "items"? If they are normally controllable, they are, in essence, much closer to characters. -Nyerguds (talk) 08:15, 8 September 2016 (EDT)
