This cactus is UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
And you were just a scroll away from being fired too...
Oh dear, I do believe I have the vapors.

Hmmm...
To do:
The Sniper's model (non-infected) laying in the models/zombie directory is unused somehow, recompiled, and uses the animations of the Headcrab zombie from Half-Life 2. Do take notice to enable Lock View in Hammer, since its "ragdoll" anim is borked.

Codename CURE is your daily dose of Vitamin C1, U4, R2, and E6.

Console Log

A console log created by the developer during the game's beta-testing phase can be found in the root folder. Based on its contents, it was created during a two-player game on the map "cbe_bunker" and contains a lot of missing file errors, for example Half-Life 2's Gravity Gun's sound entries with nonexistent sounds.

//	"$basetexturetransform"	"center 0 0 scale 1 2 rotate 0 translate 0 0"
//	"$AlphaTestReference"	"0.5"
	"$surfaceprop" "metal"
}

example_model_material.vmt contains an example format of how a Source SDK .vmt file should look like.

Unused Graphics

In cure_dir.vpk, going to ../materials/temp/ contains 4 images of players sprays from a game. Two of which contain porn. This was the result of some playtesters from the very early versions of the game that made porn sprays, which got archived into the development files. This is both obsolete and nonexistent now. For a while.

Oddities

The executable reads itself as "cure.exe", but if it is double-clicked it will instead redirect to Half-Life 2's game directory. After the Valve intro, the game then crashes, due to the "hl2" directory itself not having the required files.
