Cookie Run/Version Differences

Cookie Run for Kakao (쿠키런 for Kakao) released in April 2013 where it would become an unexpected hit and would develop and redefine the OvenBreak franchise in ways not seen previously. It notably hadn't been released in English, which had been a previous priority of Devsisters, which seemed to have dropped after live games like Get THAT Mish! and Oh! My Lord, which were localized in English, failed to gain any major traction, so the market was left to cool off.
The idea to take Cookie Run internationally was later arranged in late 2013, with iDreamSky; a subsidary of Tencent taking charge in mainland China, and LINE Corperation would later take charge in localizing Cookie Run to an array of international audiences, with them hiring localization teams for the games. Both LINE Cookie Run and Cookie Run for QQ would release in 2014.

Each version of the game had a different app icon. Cookie Run for Kakao featured Brave Cookie/GingerBrave running against a red brick wall with the KakaoTalk icon in the bottom right corner, LINE Cookie Run had reused title splash screen art for Season 2 of Cookie Run for Kakao, and the Tencent QQ version was identical to the Kakao version, with the removal of the KakaoTalk icon in the bottom right corner.

Lucky Bag
Lucky Bag is a pet that was released in 2014 to celebrate Chuseok and became available again to be obtained in Chuseok 2015 and Chuseok 2016. It's skill made it create Gold Coins.
LINE Cookie Run-exclusive content
Brown Balloon and Cony Balloon
2 exclusive A Grade pets were released in LINE Cookie Run, known as Brown Balloon and Cony Balloon, which were based upon the respective mascots of LINE as limited time content available from April 18th, 2014 until May 18th, 2014. Brown Balloon gave 1 free rescue and bonus XP, while Cony Balloon gave 1 free rescue and a coin bonus.
Cookie Run for QQ-exclusive content
Intro Video
Cookie Run for QQ has an intro video that plays upon starting the game. This video is an alternate version of the video "Cookie Run Movie Trailer 2", which was an animated trailer to promote the New World update. The main notable difference is that Apple Cookie in the QQ version floats passively away in a static pose, whereas the YouTube version (which has since been unlisted and later privated) has Apple Cookie being much more fluid and animated.
Tutorial Intro
A loading screen for the tutorial (which the QQ version defines as episode N00) is present exclusively in the QQ version of the game.
Skill Previews
Images illustrating how each Cookie skill functions are present in the QQ version of the game. The idea would be revisited in Cookie Run: OvenBreak, though it would later be abandoned in January 2022 with the release of Candlelight Cookie.
An exclusive image of GingrBrave and Little Star in a hot air balloon over the Witch's house is present for an exclusive sharing menu.
