The PC phenomenon makes a quick pit-stop on the consoles, more specifically, the original Xbox. Now with new maps and the debut of AI "bots" for when your friends are too busy playing Halo, as well as graphically-enhanced existing maps.

Unused Map

Originally, cs_downed was to make its first (and last) appearance in Counter-Strike on this Xbox port instead of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero. This map was to use the SEAL Team 6 and Guerrilla Warfare factions and would use the pilot models from Deleted Scenes for its hostages. A map thumbnail also remains on disc.

PC Leftovers

Each map is a separate, stand-alone archive. As such, each map has some leftovers from the PC game that are apparently required by the engine, like the Half-Life 1 skill definitions (skill.cfg) and the default Message of the Day (motd.txt):
