Digimon World: Next Order is the follow-up to Digimon World for the PS1.

Version Differences
Vita Version
The original version of the game. It was released only in Japan. [1]
- Easier difficulty.
- Updates and free DLC distribution.
- When playing the Japanese / Chinese Version on an account outside of those countries, updates can be downloaded but DLC cannot.
- DLC is now delisted from Japanese / Chinese PSN.
- The Chinese version has a unused English translation that can only be accessed by modifying the game.[2]
PS4 Version
This is a remaster of the PS Vita version[3], with all DLC and updates included.[1]
- More free DLC was added.
- Harder difficulty than the PS Vita version[4], resulting in a grindy experience.[5]
- There are more Digimon and content in this version.
- Released in Japan as Digimon World: Next Order International Edition.
- Voice over options are available in the original Japanese and a new English dub.
- Kuro-rin and Kuro-cchi's names were changed to Blackie and Blackosaurus in the English localization.[6]
Switch / PC Version
This version has all of the DLC and updated included.[7]
- Difficulty options have been revamped in order to make the game more forgiving.[8]
- A run button was added for faster movement.
- Kuro-rin and Kuro-cchi's name changes in the PS4 localization were reverted back to their original names.[9]
- The Japanese voice acting requires a DLC download in the Switch version.
