Dragon Ball Z: Gekitou Tenkaichi Budoukai is one of the first DBZ fighting games that also required a special piece of hardware called the Datach Joint ROM System, which scanned the barcode of cards (sold separately) to play as different characters and add items also.
One of the awesome features is that it can read many EAN-8 and EAN-13 barcodes, like your dictionary or a pack of snacks. Off-Disc DLC yo! WE GOTTA POWER!
Selftest
Holding Select on Controller 1 and Select + Start on Controller 2, then pressing Reset will cause the game to perform a quick PRG bank switching test and check the sum for the first and last bytes of every PRG bank.
If the test is passed, the game will continue as normally. If it fails, the screen will turn white and the game will lock up.
