So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?
Careful, you'll lose an eye.
This page or section needs more images.
There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this.

Everyone's favourite door-kicking, citizen-killing bad cop is back. Now as a Combine Elite.

Hmmm...
To do:
  • Document the ModDB demo. Both of its versions can be downloaded here: https://www.moddb.com/mods/entropy-zero-2
  • Unused textures, models, and sounds.
  • Entropy: Zero leftovers.
  • Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One and Episode Two leftovers.
  • More unused maps, there's an addon in the workshop that makes these all available via the Bonus Maps menu.

Unused Maps

ez2_bg_day

A daytime version of the background map.

ez2_c4_1_old

An older version of ez2_c4_1.

ez2_crabcrate

A large room made up of blue dev textures, seemingly made to test the Temporal Crab. There are ten plinths arranged in a 3-4-3 pattern on the ground. In the direct centre of the map is a supply crate which if broken will spawn a Temporal Crab. When unleashed, the crab will only teleport on top of the ten plinths. There is a button directly in front of the player's spawn point which will disable the crab in the crate.

ez2_institute

A large, dark room with the G-Man and the grub from the "There Will Be Pain" ending, surrounded by smoke. Nothing happens if you kill the grub or the G-Man.

Unused Fonts

Crysta.ttf

An early font used for the HUD, seen in early screenshots and videos.

AndroidInsomniaRegular.ttf

The font used in Entropy: Zero.

Unused Weapons

"Last Resort"

A special version of the Xen grenade, used as some kind of "last resort". It uses an Aperture Laboratories-style crosshair and can be used in the test map vmdl_test. When used, it will teleport the player to a specific point in the map.

Arbeit Clipboard

Ez2 clipboard.jpg

A NPC-exclusive "weapon" of similar purpose to the food package and suitcase from HL2. It uses the Shotgun icon from the HL2 and is called "List of Cohrt cameos".

Counter-Strike: Source weapons

Ez2 css ak47.jpg Ez2 css deagle.jpg Ez2 css awp.jpg Ez2 css glock.jpg

Every single firearm from Counter-Strike: Source can be spawned and used. Normally only the Glock 18 appears in the campaign, and as an NPC-only weapon in the hands of some rebels. All of their viewmodels have the hands replaced with the HEV suit arms from HL2. Oddly enough, the Glock-18 uses the USP Match's viewmodel.

Displacer Pistol

Ez2 disp pistol.jpg

Named ""Portal" Gun" in-game. A "pistol" that lets you move objects and NPCs around the level by de-materialising and then rematerialising them. Oddly enough, it uses an unused Portal Gun texture from Portal. Unlike the other unused weapons, it is given when the "impulse 101" command is used and also has working hints.

Flare Gun

Has the same name and model as the Displacer Pistol, but fires flares instead. It has the same firing modes as the cut Half-Life 2 flare gun.

Flechette Shotgun

A weapon added in the 1.3.0 update, named the "Flechette Gun" in-game. It uses the same model as the regular Shotgun, but has a purple-tinted texture; it also has no sound effects. Functionally very similar to the Shotgun, it fires a spread of explosive flechettes similar to those fired by the Hunter, but are coloured yellow; they deal a good amount of damage and disintegrates enemies when killed, but also does no damage to the player.

Matt Pipe

As the name indicates, it is supposed to be the reskinned Crowbar that Matt uses in Half-Life 2. Both its world and viewmodels are of the pipe worldmodel. It uses the Crowbar HUD icon and the name of the Stunstick from Entropy: Zero and is functionally identical to the Crowbar.

Sniper Rifle

A player-usable version of the weapon used by enemy snipers. It has no HUD icon or proper name (using "#HL2_Sniper" instead), but uses the Stunstick icon for its ammo. Its viewmodel uses the hands from the original Entropy: Zero and is quite sloppily animated. It has a scope with two zoom levels along with a blue laser sight. When fired, the player will be pushed backwards slightly.

Stasis Grenade

Named the "Zero Entropy Grenade" in-game, it is another weapon added in the 1.3.0 update. It uses the same assets as the regular frag grenade, but is more similar in function and effects to the Xen Grenade. When an NPC or physics object is enters in its (very large) area of effect, it will freeze them in place for around three seconds, at which point the effect dissipates and the NPC/object will return to normal. The player is not affected by this and will only take continuous damage in a small radius around the grenade, similarly to the Xen Grenade.
