Hmmm...
To do:
  • Some animatics, which are still leftover in The Henry Stickmin Collection.
  • Investigate the black bars that appear off screen in almost every cutscene.

Fleeing the Complex is the the fifth game in the Henry Stickmin series and the last to be released as a Flash game. The game is notable for its darker tone in comparison to previous entries.

In the text for the Bubble Shield fail, different versions of the face seen at the end can be seen off-screen.

This is a description. I

This was likely used during the Fire Emblem-esque scene in the Presumed Dead route.

he comes up

This is called off-screen in the scene where Henry climbs up the ladder in International Rescue Operative.

Hidden Subtitles

FtCsubtitles.jpg

In some scenes, subtitles can be seen off-screen.

International Rescue Operative

yeh. Oh Henry! How's it going? Uhhuh. Mmhmmm. Oh. I see.. uhuh.. Ah yeah that's not good.
Hey you!

Presumed Dead

Why do we have so many boxes here anyway? huh? HEY STOP!
Die pferd hat zu viele bein? Was? NEIN BAUCH!
Sir, a message.
Go ahead.
Uh, it looks like... Henry Stick..min, Henry Stickmin has escaped.
Grrnnn
Sir are you there?
Attention. We have a prisoner breach. He was last seen heading for the main yard.
Don't make me come up there and get him myself.

Convict Allies

Hold it right there inmates!
Hm. Are we waiting for someone or..?
Hm. Are we waiting for someone or..?
Yeah some idiot must've opened all the cell doors
Hey there's convicts over here!
There hasn't been an incident here in 50 years. but the DAY you show up, this happens!
You're going to regret everything you've done here today. Hm?

Unused Subtitles

Interestingly, there are also some subtitles that don't seem to match up with any dialog in the final game. Judging by their locations, it's likely they would've been used somewhere in the Convict Allies route.

Oh I thought you pushed the button already!
So once we get up there I say we group up with the rest of the group and help lock down max security.
Hm? Yeah sounds good.
Alright everyone down on the ground

Offscreen Graphics

Hmmm...
To do:
Some of these need rips...

Old moon

An older version of the moon is offscreen on the menu screen.

Hidden door

In the Fake Illness fail, a door can be seen offscreen.

Green box

Greenbox.jpg

There is a green box on the main menu that, when clicked, skips to the first option screen. This may have been used for skipping the opening cutscene during development.

In the broken elevator area, a bit more of the map can be seen beyond the player's vision.

Whoopee Cushion

In the Whoopee Cushion choice, a small Whoopee Cushion can be found off-screen.
