2003 Visos Concept

Hidden in the game's data is this car, which is normally not seen anywhere in the game. It has a complete set of textures and a model located in 3DDATA\CARS\VISOS. The only remnants of stats for it in the ASCII data is just the Chassis.

There's even an announcer clip, found in car111.wav in the speech folder:

Unused Graphics

Placeholder Map

This is very likely a placeholder map due to the odd and inconsistent nature of getting it to appear. Despite the spawn area being far off most of the tracks, the AI cars still try to follow the path. No model exists of a track this map could be based off of.

Off-Road Driving Skills layout

Normally, Driving Skills is one of those modes that you can't play the two off-road locations in. But White Sands (Forward) contains Driving Skills data, which is something none of the other tracks even have.

Interesting,in PACAF.DAT found in DATA\ASCII\GATE\MAIN is BAYA.dat,meaning early name of this file.

Early Racing Lines

In DATA\ASCII\TRACKS, there is leftover racing line data in OVAL1.DAT and OVAL2.DAT, versions of Oval and Racetrack respectively. They were created a few months before the final. The differences aren't very significant.
