Level Select

This game uses the Taito Code:

  1. Hold the Service Coin button upon booting, and wait until a "SERVICE SWITCH ERROR" message pops up on the screen.
  2. Press 1P Start (x3), Service Coin, then 1P Start again.

Upon this, the game boots as normal. However, upon inserting a credit, the player is redirected to a stage selection menu. Pressing P1 Left/Right scrolls through the levels, and P1 Button 1 chooses a level.

  • A Beginner Mode was introduced and can be chosen in a new selection screen that appears before the game starts. Only the first 3 stages can be played in this mode, and the player's power-up level also only goes down by one upon death.
  • An Auto-Fire function was added, mapped to Button 3.
  • When using a Capture Ball, the player is no longer invulnerable.
  • Each boss now has a timer; 180 seconds for normal bosses, and 540 seconds for the final boss. Upon clearing the stage, there is a bonus of 10000 points for each second remaining.
  • After continuing, the player is given one of each Missile, Bomb, Arm, and Capture Ball power-ups. In the original, only the first three were provided, in the form of a "combined" power-up.
