Garfield Gets Real is loosely based on the rather bad direct-to-video film of the same name, featuring a "movie production" theme that makes absolutely no sense in the context of the movie's plot. The game is also pretty bad in its own right, to the point of potentially being a spiritual successor to A Week of Garfield.

A Wii version was planned but never released.
