After a few years in development, GRID 2 was released to criticism from fans of the TOCA Race Driver series and its spinoff Grid for straying off into an arcade-like direction with a meaningless plot. fortunately through, Codemasters quickly responded by making an improved version called Grid Autosport, less than year later. This is only game in the series in which you race solo instead of in a team, unlike the previous game (and its successors).

To do: I will have to get the intro videos uploaded to YouTube soon. The Japanese version, once again, contains the logo and name difference. However, if anyone else has the time to convert the .bk2 videos into something YouTube can upload, that would be highly appreciated.

For some reason, Codemasters made the odd decision to release Grid 2 in Japan as Race Driver Grid 2 (with no colon).
