So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?
Hmmm...
To do:
  • Talk about the Prototypes which have a TON of unused content.
  • Look into the source code leak and what can be gleaned from it.
  • Check the Definitive edition for anything new
  • Actually put some meat on this articles bones.
  • Halo Wars 2 has a bunch of legacy unused content in it (that should be documented on its own page).

Halo Wars, the time Halo went back to its roots as a RTS. A shoutout is required to the Halo Wars Hub Discord for finding a lot of these assets.

Notably, it was the last game by Ensemble Studios, having released not so long after their closure on January 29th, 2009.

E3 Skybox

The Skybox used in the E3 Demo of the game can be found in the Definitive Edition.

Cut Units

Several icons for cut units still exist in the game. A lot of these are notable for the fact it shows they had been worked on since the leaked Sway build.

Mongoose

A very oddly scaled Mongoose with a marine on it. Likely to be used for the scout until the warthog replaced it.

Vulture

A super early vulture.

Rhino

An early version of the Rhino's icon.

Cougar

The cut cougar still has a icon left over.
