Not to be confused with the original PSP game, Lumines: Puzzle Fusion is, basically, a heavily trimmed down version of Lumines LIVE!.

Unused Graphics

Avatars

Two unused avatars can be found in data\BK\chara, the directory where the avatars are placed.

ch00		An unused playable version of the question mark avatar, an icon of which is seen when creating a new profile.
ch112		The avatar awarded when completing the third round of VS CPU mode in the original Lumines. Data for this avatar is also present in Lumines Supernova. Additionally, an icon for this avatar also exists, present at data\BK\chara_icon.dat\ch_icon\ch_i112.dds.

Skin Banners

Three types of placeholder banners are found in data\BK\skin_banner.dat, the file where the banners are placed.

skin201~204		Placeholder banners for the Time Attack mode skins. 201 is for 60sec mode, 202 is for 180sec, 203 is for 300sec, and 204 is for 600sec.
skin301~303		Placeholder banners for the Puzzle mode skins. 301 is for the Easy puzzles, 302 is for the Hard puzzles, and 303 is for the Super Hard puzzles.
skin401~403		Placeholder banners for the Mission mode skins. 401 is for the Easy missions, 402 is for the Hard missions, and 403 is for the Super Hard missions.

Oddities

For the Elephant and Pig avatars, the animations that play when obtaining a bonus and that of when the playboard is nearly filled out are swapped. This oversight also exists in the original PSP Lumines.

Unused Text

References to SORRY, a scrapped skin present in pre-release builds of Lumines LIVE!, can be found in data\BK\font\menu_(en/fr/ge/it/jp/sp).dat, at the very end of the files. Offsets take in consideration decompressed files.

WildTangent vs. Steam

Two known versions of the game exist: one released in WildTangent (the original release), and another released in Steam, roughly five months after, and that is no longer available for download.

Title Screen

• The title screen's background graphics were completely changed, and the game's logo was slightly altered.
• A language option was added in the Steam release.

Main Menu

• The colors in the menu selection choices were altered completely, and a drop shadow was added to the text and icons.
• An option to visit the game's page was added in the Steam release.

In-Game

• A pause button was added in the bottom right corner of the screen in the Steam release.

Challenges

The Steam release features one additional song for the game's Classic and Advance challenges. Additionally, the latter is downloadable content in this release, while it is available by default in the WildTangent version.
