MLB 10: The Show is a kinda-late first-party baseball game for the PS2, especially since you're releasing it four years into your successor console's lifespan.

Unused Pitches

There are a few unused pitches in the MLB: The Show series that aren't accessible via editing players.

• Straight 2Seam
• Cut 2Seam
• Vulcan Change
• Eephus
• Gyroball

To activate (works in MLB 10 and MLB 11 for PS2):

1. Create a pitcher in the Road to the Show Mode (to make things easier, make sure he does not know a 4-Seam fastball).
2. Get 200 points to learn a new pitch.
3. Open up Cheat Engine.
4. Open up the dialogue "Learn New Pitch".
5. Find the current pitch value by searching for the following values:
   • 4 Seam Fastball- 0
   • Sinker- 1
   • Curveball- 2
   • Slider- 3
   • Slurve- 4
   • Splitter- 5
   • Changeup- 6
   • Knuckleball- 7
   • 2 Seam FB (note)- 8
   • Cutter- 9
   • Circle-Change- 10
   • Palmball- 11
   • Forkball- 12
   • Knuckle-Curve- 13
   • Screwball- 14
   • 12-6 Curve- 15
   • Sweeping Curve- 17
   • Running Fastball- 18
6. Try this a few times to narrow down the values until you have found the correct one. To make sure, try changing the numerical value in Cheat Engine and the pitch displayed to be chosen should also instantly change.
7. Change the numerical value to one of the following (all values after 22 seem to be copies of Eephus with garbage names):
   • Gyroball- 17
   • Cut 2Seam- 19
   • Straight 2Seam- 20
   • Vulcan Change- 21
   • Eephus- 22
8. Once you have selected your pitch, add it in the game.
