Unused Tools

Human Tools

DDT Spray (DDTスプレー)

Human tool ID: 6E

For use in combat: it affects everyone except the user, allies and enemies alike, with poisonous gas. Can be used infinitely and has a selling price of 1100 G.

Mechanic Kit (メカニックキット)

Human tool ID: 0D

For use outside of combat: it has the same effect as the Repair Kit except that it can be used infinitely. Can not be sold. Note that the same effect can be achieved with the Love Machine combination 2122.

Vehicle Tools

Radar Scope (レーダースコープ)

Vehicle tool ID: 11

When turned on, it increases the hit rate of the vehicle's weapons. Selling price: 5500 G.

Metal Blade (メタルブレード)

Vehicle tool ID: 12

When used in combat, the vehicle rams into the chosen opponent dealing some damage. The damage calculation is based on the vehicle's and the enemy's defense values. It is consumed upon use and has a selling price of 8000 G.

This tool was available in Metal Max, where it was less expensive and could be used infinitely. This and the fact that the animation for it in 2 uses that of shields should be taken as signs that the item remained unfinished.

Horn R (クラクションR)

Vehicle tool ID: 17

Similar to Horn L and Horn X, except that it is used with the R button and has a different sound. It allows the player to honk when driving and supposedly scares enemies away, lowering the encounter rate. Infinite uses. Selling price: 800 G.

It was made available in the GBA version, Metal Max 2 Kai.

Unused Weapons

205 Red Peony (205ミリひぼたん)

Vehicle weapon ID: 25

Using the same visual design as other regular main cannons, it can be upgraged to the maximum attack power of 999 making it the strongest attack power of any weapon in the game, all while boasting a comfortable ammunition load and while being relatively lightweight. Selling price: 60000 G.

Unused Enemies

Bruberos No. 2 (ブルベロス2号)

Metal Max 2 (Japan) unused enemy 1.png

Encounter ID: 91

A stronger version of the mechanical dog enemy found in Grappler Tower, with an uncanny palette. It uses the same attacks as the original Bruberos but can also self-destruct. It offers 473 EXP and 373 G.

Unobtainable Items

In the city of Isalporto, a Grappler guards the door to this room and there is no way to ever retrieve the item in the crate. The box contains an Evil's Bromide (あくのブロマイド), a photo depicting villain Cagliostro, which can already be obtained elsewhere in the game.

A cupboard in the city of Hatoba contains a Cure Capsule (かいふくカプセル), but a female NPC blocks access to it.

The game is full of decorative crates and other containers, most of them located behind receptions and shop counters. While the majority of them are empty, with some even freezing the game when attempting to open them, the crate behind the receptionist in Deathcruz contains a Fill Up Drink (満タンドリンク).
