Regional Differences

Stage 5 Boss Rush

Exclusive to Stage 5 on the American version is a boss rush with all of the bosses that were previously defeated in prior stages. After defeating all 4 of these enemies, the stage's Demoness Wrestler boss is fought. For all other region versions of the game, this was the only enemy to defeat in this stage. The American version of the stage also features an exclusive song during the boss rush portion called "Coliseum of Revenge". This music also replaces an ethereal musical cue used during Death Shadow's verbal taunt at the beginning of the stage. This musical cue can still be heard in Stage 1 when the boss first appears.

Status HUD

The Japanese version of the game uses a bar to represent health and the international versions use numbers instead.

The stained glass artwork seen during the elevator scene in the Final Stage originally featured three robed women with the largest image holding her hand in benediction. Due to the religious implication of the hand gesture, all three images were updated and changed into monsters.
