Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is a soft-reboot developed by Criterion Games that is designed to be a throwback to the pre-Underground days with high-stakes police chases in tandem with linear roads, built on top of the handling model and game mechanics from Burnout 3.

Version Differences
Dreamshot
The original version of the game allows the player to take photographs called "Dreamshots" and post them to their wall menu. The Remastered version removes the Dreamshot feature but still allows the player to access the photo mode, relying on the built-in share features of eighth generation consoles for sharing content instead.
