Paca Paca Passion is Produce's first foray into the rhythm game genre. It involves four members of a band playing songs and avoiding having towers of blocks that pierce the screen below them.

Unused Graphic

Upon merging both of the second graphics ROMs (ppp1rom1l.7 and ppp1rom1u.10) and verifying offset 0x209008, it's possible to see a leftover graphic from a location test version of the game.

The text roughly translates to "Thank you for your cooperation in the location test!".

Unused Text

Found within the strings of the How to Play screen (offset 0x283C4 upon merging the program ROMs ppp1vera.2l and ppp1vera.2p), which is seen in the attract sequence and upon selecting Training mode, is a completely unused English translation for it. Note that the game was never released outside of Japan.

RULE
The piled chip is
located on each side
of the screen.
When falling
flash overlaps
the colored chip,
hit the color button
that matches
the flash on
right timing.
If the timing is
precise,the chips
piled under the
opponent’s character
will increase
If you fail,
your chip will
increase.
If 31 chip piles up,
the game is over.
If you perform
better than your
opponent all through
the music,
stage will be
cleared.
Listen to the music
carefully and
feel the rhythm.
This is a key to
clear.

Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: Is it possible to access this?

Upon merging both of the program ROMs, it's also possible to view several text strings from unseen operator menu functions, as well as some from a debug menu:
