Papa Louie: When Pizzas Attack! is essentially the glossed-over older brother of the Papa Louie series. This actually released before Papa's Pizzeria, but said game happened to become way more popular than the original game, getting tons of sequels and ports to mobile devices. This game wasn't completely ignored though, as the series did get a few more platformer games made for it, being When Burgers Attack and When Sundaes Attack respectively.

In other words, we have ourselves a bit of a Bloons situation on our hands.

Hmmm...
To do:
  • Revisional differences between the original, Kongregate and v2 releases
  • There are unused enemies in the game. Figure out how to spawn them in and document them. There used to be videos showing them off as well, but unfortunately they're no longer around.
  • Prerelease page using info from the Flipline blog.
  • Appareantly, the game also has sprites of the Red Coin seen in Yoshi's Island, try to see if it's used in the game or if it can be still spawned.

Unused Graphics

Fort Onion Remnants

An additional floor for the game was planned named Fort Onion. However, it was scrapped due to technical limitations and was eventually brought back for the sequel, Papa Louie 2: When Burgers Attack!

5th Floor "Going Down" Sign

PLWPA 5th floor down.png

A sign for the 5th floor going downwards. While the going upwards version is used, this one is not.

Sixth Floor

PLWPA 6th floor.png

Above the used fifth floor is the unused 6th floor. It's clearly incomplete, due to misplaced graphics and a lack of bonus coin icons.

Level Background

PLWPA fort onion bg.png

The background that would've been used for Fort Onion, as seen in the screenshot seen on the Flipline Studios blog.

Blank Title Cards

In between the title cards for the Sarge fight and the training stage are 3 black level intros with no level name text. Since each floor has 3 levels, these were likely intended for the levels in Fort Onion.

Miscellaneous

"The Code"

PLWPA 1.png

A red circle with the words 'The Code' written in the center of it.

Demo Screen

PLWP demo ending.png

A ending screen for a demo of the game. Not only does it use the name "Pizza Panic" (the original title of the game before it was changed,) but a demo version isn't known to exist.

Anti Piracy Screen

PLWP AntiPiracy.png

A anti piracy screen can be found inside of the sprites. This was used in older versions of the game, but was later unused in later versions of the game. This can be accessible by right-clicking the game, and pressing the forward button a couple times until you see this screen.

Revisional differences

  • Title screen is different between releases.
  • The original release has credits as the third option, later revisions change that for control adjustment menu and the option to view credits is at the bottom with a tiny button having white text.
  • Kongregate version adds 3 bonus tokens to each level.
