This article is a work in progress. ...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes. |
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article? |
To do: More revisional differences |
The PlayStation 4 is Sony's fourth home console. It infamously performed better on the market than the Xbox One, in part due to Microsoft fumbling the bag with the system's launch.

Revisional Differences
In September 2016, with firmware version 4.00, the user interface was given a redesign, which includes new backgrounds, redesigned icons, smaller popup notifications, and a revised What's New tab. The 4.00 update also added support for folders in the home menu and Library.
Regional Differences
The Japanese version of the PS4 contains a system setting that allows the user to choose use the X button to confirm as opposed to the Circle button. This was added in firmware version 6.50.
