This page details prerelease information and/or media for Bounced.

Karma Studios was an unusually prolific Game Boy Color developer, but you'd never know it as almost none of their work ever made it out the door:

"We did various Gameboy Color projects, many of which unfortunately never made a release because of the unstable situation in the Game Industry.
Studios would just buy licenses and have some cheap studio develop a crap game for nearly nothing, as the game would sell anyway on its big license alone."

Even when they did snag a publisher for their games, things would still go horribly wrong.

Project 2

In December 1999, IGN wrote a pair of articles on the studio: one on their upcoming output, and another specifically for Bounced. Project 2 was specifically mentioned as publisher with a tentative 2000 release date for Europe. A listing was also found on the Project 2 website, alongside other unreleased games such as Knights and Turbo Racing Challenge:

Bounced [more]

Game Style: Platform
Barcode: 87.144.29. 40010.6
Retailprice: £ 24.99 (Dfl. 79,95)
Releasedate: TBA

Sadly, the More page was not properly archived. A URL exists, but only redirects to a 404 error. By early 2000, Project 2 had closed its doors.

Midas Interactive

Bouncedboxart.jpg
After Project 2, Midas Interactive was set to publish Bounced alongside a slew of other GBC games in December 2000, but multiple delays pushed the intended release window all the way to 2003 - and then all of the planned games were scrapped.

The September 2020 lotcheck leaks show that Midas did submit a few games to Nintendo for final approval, including Bounced, but the vast majority of the games they intended to launch with are not present.

Music/Screenshots

Eager to show off their games, Karma Studios posted multiple screenshots and even music online. Some of these were found on IGN as part of their coverage of the developer, but an additional set of screenshots were found in their website's archives, named gbcmix-screenshots.zip (also including media from fellow unreleased Karma titles Section 7 and Z-quence). A readme present in this file reads:

Rebounced

In an amusing case of counting your chickens before they hatch, a sequel to the game was announced at the same time as the original and appears to have had a substantial amount of work done for it.
