• The title screen is different, featuring "AWESOME BABY!" in bold blue capital letters instead of red letters in a speech bubble in the final game. Dick Vitale is also missing the little Tengen patch on his shirt.
• The jump ball animation for the players is different, showing them jittering back and forth instead of jumping in the air for the ball.
• The HUD is very different from the final game:
  • Instead of gray, it's a bright blue color.
  • The scores are shown on the bottom of the HUD instead of right next to the team's state.
  • The Shot Clock and team names are shown on the top rather than the bottom of the screen.
  • The middle shows a minimap of all the players, which isn't in the final game.
  • The fouls counter has a second digit for each team.
• The referee is much more involved, being the one that calls out scoring among other things.
• The commercial advertises "3v3 street style play". The final game has a 2v2 mode and no Multitap support.
• The main menu has a different background and the text is positioned differently.
• Some teams are in different regions.
• The box art has a different picture of college athletes and no Dick Vitale, as well as a different logo.
