- Mario is wearing his normal outfit instead of his Picross costume.
- The timer has not yet been implemented.
- The game's bespoke Super Game Boy border is absent.
- The second image shows a 10×10 puzzle inside a 15×15 grid with empty space. The final game gives 10×10 puzzles their own-sized grid.
- Grid lines are not visible.
