Puyo Puyo CD is pretty much a port of the arcade version of Puyo Puyo with higher-quality voice acting.

Unused Music

The entire soundtrack is present in the PC-Engine's PSG format. Most of it goes unused in favor of the CD-DA audio.

This game has a CD warning message that is different than the standard track #1 in other CD-ROM² games. The line "If you do it again, I shall punish you!!" appears to be a reference to the catchphrase of the titular character in the Sailor Moon franchise, "In the name of the Moon, I shall punish you!!". Kotono Mitsuishi, who voices Arle in the game, also voiced Sailor Moon in the 1990s anime and related media.
