Rayman, now finally in color!

This game is often incorrectly called a port of the first game due to the highly similar gameplay, but actually features brand new levels and not so brand new music recycled from the second game. It also got ported to the Pocket PC, Palm OS and Symbian range of PDAs later down the line.

Hmmm...
To do:
RayWiki may have some stuff that we missed.

Level Select

During gameplay, pause the game and press A, Left, A, Left, A, B, Right, B, Up, B, A, Left, A, Down, A. You will be sent to the world map and you can play any level, although the Dark Legacy and Time Attack levels will still be locked.

Title and Menu

The position of the stars around the logo was changed. Rayman also has five fingers instead of four, explained in more detail below.

Rayman's Hands

In the Japanese version, Rayman and Mister Dark's hands were redrawn to have five fingers instead of just four. This was changed presumably due to a Japanese stereotype in which having a missing finger is linked to being a part of the Yakuza. The same change was originally to be made to Rayman 2: The Great Escape, but it was eventually decided against.
