Rhythm 'n' Face is an odd rhythm game from the same folks that brought you LSD: Dream Emulator.

Unused Graphics

Rhythm n Face-ASMKLOGO.png

A crude placeholder for the Asmik Ace logo. The final game uses a video to display their logo rather than a bitmap image. Interestingly, this exact situation is present in LSD: Dream Emulator.

Leftover Graphics

Rhythm n Face-COMINPUT.png

Rhythm n Face-SELECT.png

Two graphics directly copied from LSD: Dream Emulator are stored among the game's menu assets. These images pertain to saving/loading dialogues, which would be redundant as Rhythm 'n' Face only operates off of one save file. All used dialogue box images (and these two) share the exact same filenames as their LSD counterparts, suggesting the developers had copied them from that game and simply changed the graphics.

Testing Menu

Hmmm...
To do:
Try to enter this menu or prove that the code is missing.

Rhythm n Face-CC.png

A layout for a "testing" menu can be found alongside the developer logo graphics. It is currently unknown if code for this menu exists in the final game or if it can be accessed.

Unused Music

Every song in the game has three variations, tied to getting a combo, being on your last life and waiting for the automatic face composition to finish. These tracks have a unique version of the song's intro, which can never be heard in-game due to the fact that you always start in the Normal variation.

Track Name Normal (Used) Combo Danger Auto
Happy Peace Smile (Stage 1A)
Swan Song 2000 (Stage 2A)
Fat Tiger Blues (Stage 3A)
Dr Boochang Lee (Stage 3B)
Something in Heaven (Stage 4A)
Dabster & Dubstar (Stage 4B)
Rock the Rocket (Stage 4C)
Green Castle (Stage 4D)
Wondering Bullfighter (Stage 5A)
Quiet Rose (Stage 5B)
Apollo Comic (Stage 5C)
Durian Moon (Stage 5D)

Dummy Files

ZDUMMY

Hmmm...
To do:
Investigate whether or not this file is also garbage video data.

ZDUMMY.STR is a 60MB dummy file that is likely intended to push the game's data closer to the outside of the disc for faster loading times. A similar file can be found in LSD: Dream Emulator, though in this case it's stored in the FILM folder alongside other video files instead of being in a dedicated folder.
