Truth about Dana/Margarete swap

With intro of epilogue, after Hugo gets defeated, Homunculus explains the switch of two babies while tempting Eike to pick Margarete from the 1500s, making Eike believe this was what he wanted from the start, not believing anything he says. Homunculus sets the Z-Pad for one last trip.

Eike travels back to Margarete's time

Eike, upon travelling to the 1500s, is greeted by Margarete in an almost-empty Lebensbaum, the two of them being the only residents left.

With nothing to lose, Eike (along with an explanation of her not being his ancestress) offers Margarete a one-way trip to 2001, which she accepts without a second thought. They head back.

Z-Pad breaks during travel to present

During time travel to present, the Z-Pad makes a strange noise (breaks), but the duo returns safely to the present.

Homunculus turns to dust

Upon the duo's return to the present, Eike claims the Z-Pad is broken, which triggers Homunculus to take a look. While tossing the Z-Pad back, what seems to be a shard from the Z-Pad hits Homunculus' weak and fragile body, making him vanish. Eike and Margarete claim this was his destiny.

Differences

The PSP version, while keeping the same plot as the previous iterations, made a number of changes.

General

  • DigiPad is now Z-Pad.
  • Eike addresses Eckart correctly.
  • Redrawn endings to give an "Anime" look.
  • Blood removed completely.
  • Remixed credits music.
  • Added ability to save mid-game.
