Passwords

In addition to the regular level passwords, there are four other passwords which have some handy effects in game:

  • 41693261: cloaking device lasts twice as long
  • 00247227: start with 9 lives and bombs
  • 88895288: start with full weapons
  • 51853435: enable ingame cheat menu

These passwords stay active after resetting the game, so you can enter any combination of multiple passwords in order to combine their effects.

Cheat Menu

Superdropzone-cheat.png

After entering the cheat menu password, pause the game and press L+R to bring up the cheat menu.

"Spare cheat 1" probably doesn't do anything; neither does "display next page". There may have been more entries on this menu during development, or the developers may have just wanted the possibility to include more cheats than they ultimately did.

Unused Passwords

Four additional cheat passwords are present, which set the lower four bits of RAM address 7E029D. However, none of these bits seem to be checked anywhere in the game's code. These passwords are 99643311, 56676799, 44390767, and 36104232.

Unused Text

This text appears at offset 0x078202 in an unheadered ROM. It was likely used in place of the options screen for easier testing during development.
