Unused Dead Womb Layer might be used

I'm not quite sure myself, but while playing a regular game I noticed that this seemingly unused guitar layer was indeed playing during an enemy encounter within a crawlspace (i.e. before the actual fight with Hush). The problem is - I'm playing with Repentance, and I can't really switch back to Afterbirth+ or lower, so I have no idea if this change was made in the DLC or not. Can someone check if crawlspaces even exist in the blue womb in Afterbirth in the first place?

And if they do and have enemies in them, does the track play? If so, I think it's safe to remove it from the article ~CMB (talk) 17:31, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

Repentance changed how the combat music layer works. In Rep, the combat layer plays if the combined health of the enemies in the room reaches a certain threshold, but before Rep, the combat layer would simply play if there were enough enemies in the room (not sure how many specifically). As far as I can tell, there are no crawlspace layouts that have enough enemies to trigger the extra layer in Afterbirth/Afterbirth+, so unless there's some weird way to force more enemies to spawn in a crawlspace, it should still be unused --polavux (talk) 18:54, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
Oh, didn't knew about that, thanks! If I remember correctly, I found a singular Horf enemy in that crawlspace, which has 10 base HP, weirdly enough, triggering the music layer. On topic of Afterbirth, there is this particular crawlspace layout that features 3 enemies at most, but I'm not entirely sure if that's enough to trigger the extra music layer. Perhaps there is also a way to double the amount of enemies, similarly to Diplopia/Jera/anything else that doubles stuff really, that I'm not aware of? ~CMB (talk) 09:57, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
