Really, Really, Really, Really Long Music
While not mostly unused per se, The Adventures of Batman & Robin is infamous among video game enthusiasts for having really, really long music. Listening to one song in its entirety in-game often involves standing around and doing nothing for way longer than is needed.
To give a really good example, the title screen's main loop lasts at 1 minute and 6 seconds before it loops. The music? 9 minutes and 14 seconds.
The ending cutscene suffers the most from this long length, as it has a decent chunk of its music go unheard. It lasts for 1 minute and 58 seconds in-game, but the song used lasts as long as over 5 minutes before it loops.

This page details one or more prototype versions of The Adventures of Batman & Robin (Genesis).
Prototype - Apr 06, 1995
The game feature numerous difference in this prototype, and the game soft locks after the second level of stage 1. Player1 can only play as Batman, regardless whether or not they choose robin. However Robin still exists in the game, but must be played by player 2. The game is completely missing all music and sound effects. The batarang weapon system is different, in the final, you must get three normal batarangs before getting bigger versions. In the prototype, you switch between the two types each upgrade. More upgrades spawn during boss fights, where as in the final you'll only get one max upon death.
