Disabled Cheat
Use Game Genie code 002-ED3-C4D (International)/002-CCA-C4D (Japan) to re-enable a cheat code: At the title screen, press A + B + Up + Start. The screen should flash a few times and you'll have 10 extra lives when starting the game.

Exclusive to the Japanese version, pressing B + Up once on the title screen and waiting for the current copyright text to loop over will display a series of messages from programmer Simon P. Golding.
