A tie-in with the movie of the same name, using the Ghost Recon engine for Rainbow Six-style missions.

Unused Weapons

OICW

The OICW Assault Rifle and its Grenade Launcher from Ghost Recon 1 is present, complete with updated HUD icons to match this game's style. Aside from that, it looks and functions exactly as it did in its source game.

Briefcase Gun

A briefcase that functions as a slow-firing high-damage pistol with no visible iron sights. While never seen in-game, it is seen in the game's pre-rendered intro as a normal briefcase.

Unused Weapon Models

Present in the game's model folder is a bunch of unused weapon models, including variations of used weapons, a bunch of leftovers from Ghost Recon 1, and a bunch of new weapon models made for this game.

While the SA80 unused in the game files is from Ghost Recon, this LMG version of the SA80 only appears as an unused weapon model.

RPG-7

The RPG-7 previous appeared in Ghost Recon as an enemy-only weapon in the Desert Siege expansion, the SOAF RPG-7 however uses a new more detailed model.

Weapon Descriptions

Each weapon has a description (taken from a text file in the game's files) that can be viewed in the "Kits" section of single-player when choosing your gear. However, a large chunk of the game's weaponry is exclusive to multiplayer, meaning their associated descriptions go unused (though they will be displayed properly if the weapons are modded into single-player).

"M1911"
"Firing a light pistol round, this weapon has decent firepower in close ranges, but its effectiveness drops fairly rapidly beyond that. It makes a good secondary weapon."
"5.45mm SMG"
"This weapon is a scaled down variant of an assault rifle. It fires a round slightly less lethal than the M4, but the lighter round allows for better control when firing automatic."
"SVD"
"The SVD is a sniper rifle firing a round with more power than most assault rifles. The long length of the gun makes it difficult to control when maneuvering, but a single careful shot is all that should be required."
"OICW/GL"
"The OICW is a next generation weapons system. It combines the firepower of the M4 with a semi-automatic grenade launcher. The weight of this weapon allows for much better control when firing automatic, but makes control while moving a little more difficult."

"OICW/GL"
"The 20mm semi-automatic grenade launcher fires small grenades that detonate on impact. Although lacking the explosiveness of a hand grenade due to their size, these grenades are easier to accurately place on a target, making them more effective."
"5.56mm Carbine"
"This carbine is roughly equivalent to the M4 carbine. It fires the same round, but is slightly more compact, resulting in lower overall accuracy, but better control over aimpoint when moving."
"9mm Auto Pistol"
"This lightweight machine pistol fires the 9mm pistol round, but can do so in a rapid automatic fire mode. Unfortunately, it is difficult to control this weapon when it is firing fully automatic."
"7.62mm LMG"
"Combining the heavier firepower of a sniper round, with automatic fire capabilities can make the LMG a dangerous weapon. However, the automatic fire comes at a cost of reduced accuracy."
"Sawed-Off SG"
"This shortened shotgun still retains the short range capabilities of most shotguns. However, because the shot spreads out faster, its effective range is reduced, but the user does not have to be as accurate with each shot to hit a target."
"0.45 Auto Pistol"
"Firing a heavier pistol round than the 9mm, this automatic pistol can be very effective at short ranges. However, the light weight, and lack of a second hand-hold makes the gun very difficult to control in automatic fire mode."
"7.62mm AR"
"The heavier firepower of this assault rifle makes it more effective than an M16 when it hits a target. However, each shot produces more recoil, and the weight of the weapon makes it harder to control while moving."
"Bullpup AR"
"The Bullpup configuration of this assault rifle makes it easier to control while moving than the M16. The forward handgrip also makes it easier to control the recoil from each shot. However, the base accuracy of the gun suffers slightly."
"M203"
"This weapon is an underbarrel grenade launcher. It fires individual grenades that explode on impact, as opposed to the timer in the hand-held grenades. The M203 can only hold one grenade at a time, and must be reloaded after every shot."
