Unused Music

There are 2 music tracks in the game which are unused. It's unknown where they would be used as the music files in this game refer to the music by the name the composer gave the songs, not where they are used. They are called "IMPULSE" and "LOTUS".

Hello, and welcome to our fantastic tutorial
Today we will teach you how to play this super awesome game!!! 
Ready... Set... GO!!!!

This text can be found in the english.sdat file, and corresponds to the "TUT_TEST_1", "TUT_TEST_2", and "TUT_TEST_3" debug strings. Judging by the silliness of the string, and the fact that it is located before all used tutorial strings, it seems to be placeholder text for the intro of the tutorial stage.

This is Jerry's closet. Jerry can earn new costumes by earning gold medals throught the levels. 
Simply walk up to the closet and touch the cycle icon to change Jerry's costume. Each costume has a unique ability, so try them in different modes.

This string corresponds to "TUT_COSTUME_CLOSET". No such mechanic exists in the final game. There is a closet in Jerry's room, but it is simply for looks - there is no functionality to it. This mechanic exists in the GBA game of the same name, however.

Debug

Corresponds to "DEBUG_SIGN". It is next to GUI and button strings, so this is probably meant for some sort of debug menu.

While these strings are used, and there is nothing special about the strings themselves, the order they are placed in the files are interesting. It is possible they correspond to an early level order, or are the order in which they were created.

Corresponds to "TEMP". It's the last string in the game, clearly another placeholder.

Within the text folder are the language files, including one called japanese.dat which indicates that a Japanese release was planned. It is identical to english.dat, save that all staff positions in the credits and most of the text are replaced with "a" and "TOUCH TO START" is "TOUCH SCREEN TO START". There is also debug.dat which contains placeholder text for all the entries, as shown below.
