Track & Field was originally called Konamic Sports in Barcelona in Japan. With the Konami GB Collection rerelease, the "in Barcelona" part was dropped in Japan while the name was kept the same in Europe.

The original intro of Track & Field displays 13 athletic portraits in total. Since the Collection rerelease drops some of the events originally available, those respective portraits are replaced by duplicates of the portraits representing the remaining events.

For whatever reason, the Collection rerelease axes 6 out of the 11 events that were present, leaving only 5 events remaining in the rerelease.
The arrow selection cursor has also been replaced as well.
