• 2009
  • June 2, 2009 - Super Mario Galaxy 2 is revealed at E3 2009 in the E3 2009 trailer. A web copy of the trailer and screenshots and a logo were released to the press for the event.
• 2010
  • Feb 24, 2010 - The Nintendo Media Summit trailer is shown and a demo is playable for the first time, but only by the press and with no pictures or videos allowed [or detailed impressions (?)]. Additionally, the game's release dates are announced.
  • March 31, 2010 - The Rock Mushroom trailer is shown.
  • May 23, 2010 - Super Mario Galaxy 2 is released in North America.
  • May 27, 2010 - The game is released in Japan.
  • June 11, 2010 - The game is released in Europe.
  • July 1, 2010 - The game is released in Australia
