Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is the "last" entry of Kiryu's story. Or at least it was until Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name came out.

Unused Textures

Clan Creator

Dead Souls Kiryu

Clan chara 00.png

A placeholder image for Kiryu, taken from a render used in Yakuza: Dead Souls.

Broken Toru Yano Render

Yakuza6 BrokenYanoRender.png

A hilariously fitting image, Toru Yano's skill cut in has a duplicate with completely broken transparency.

Placeholder Zones

Yakuza6 ClanCreatorBg.png

Placeholders for the location UI. In the final game, these are instead loaded as separate images.

Ghosts

In Yakuza 6, Kiryu is able to take selfies with his cameraphone. In certain areas, ghosts from past games will appear.

Gen-San

Yakuza6 GhostLeftover.png

This shot of Gen-san from one of the bar substories appears a handful of times as a placeholder for this same mechanic.

Test Image

Yakuza6 KasaharaTest.png

This image of Kiyomi Kasahara appears several times, usually as a placeholder for screenshots explaining how mini games work. It reappears in Yakuza Kiwami 2, as well.

Mahjong Leftover

2d mt mg mahjong face2.png

Possibly a leftover of being able to play mahjong with, or as Majima. Notably, Kiryu's render here is from Yakuza Kiwami, where as Majima's is from Yakuza 0.

Unused Moves

Kiryu

Kiryu has A LOT of unused moves in this game. His fighting style is fairly basic in the final game, being based on Kyokushin Karate, but the majority of these cut moves comprise boxing, Judo and Krav Maga maneuvers and are highly technical in their usage. A good example is the fact he has separate counters for each limb.
