Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure is a point-and-click adventure/puzzle game that makes extensive use of the WiiMote and its motion controls. The game's plot revolves around a team of pirates called the Sea Rabbits, who find a possessed golden skull in a treasure chest named Barbaros, and they set off on a quest to find and piece together the rest of his golden skeleton.

It was released to wide critical acclaim and nominated for several awards, but was a commercial failure.

Scrapped Multiplayer Mode

From what can be gathered from the files, Zack & Wiki was originally going to have a multiplayer mode. Unused models of Zack with different unused textures can be found in its models folder, each named "PLC_00_2P", "PLC_00_3P", and "PLC_00_4P". The only difference between the textures appears to be color swapped hats and shorts for each different player. The reason this mode was scrapped is currently unknown, but since there is still four player compatibility limited to just the cursors implemented in the final game, this was most likely due to time constraints, and would probably have worked as a co-op rather than a versus.

There can also be what appear to be either scarves or capes found in the files that have the same naming format.

Unused Stages

There appears to be a test map with a grid texture left in the game's files. This could've been used to test the movement mechanics and Zack's pathfinding abilities.
