This is a sub-page of A Hat in Time (Windows, Mac OS X)/Modding Tools Content/Unused Graphics/Materials.
Deadbird Studio
Three static light materials, made for DJ Grooves' side of the studio, according to the filenames.
Metal materials made for the Conductor's side of the studio, according to the filenames.
A green screen effect material for the Conductor's side of the studio. Green screen effects are used on DJ Grooves' side, and there are green screens on the Conductor's side, but none of them have anything displayed on them. Guess he was too cheap to buy actual green screen technology.
A material for the bottom of the reception desk. Unused since the desk doesn't have a bottom.
A material for the doors in the lobby room. Doesn't display correctly with the current models for the doors due to their UVs changing. The used materials for the doors have only half of the full door graphic displayed.
A simple, blue material. Unknown purpose.
A test material, depicting a scene from the Conductor's side of the studio.
A material meant for a traffic cone of some kind. An alternate, less shiny version of this material is used elsewhere in the game.
A slower version of the countdown material used at the award ceremony.
Conductor's Train
A material for the unused boulder model leftover in the Modding Tools from versions of Train Rush that predate the Beta builds. Although not shown in the image, the material has thick fresnel being used, in the same art style as the Prototype era of development.
An alternate material for the doors on the coal burners. Uses an unused texture.
An animated material for the flowing goo used in Train Rush.
Unused colors for activated floor panels.
A material meant for Murder on the Owl Express, highlighting a footprint in a flashing white light. The footprint texture is normally unused.
Two unused materials for the floor in the lab areas of Murder on the Owl Express.
A green smoke effect material, likely meant for a particle to be used in Train Rush.
An curious material, here. This material is called "Murder Conductor Cam" in its filename, indicating it was meant for some version of Murder on the Owl Express. The material is a scene capture material, meaning that it was meant to be used to create an effect like seeing Conductor at the start of Train Rush on the TV screen. No effect like this is ever used for Murder in the final game, and it's unknown how and why this would be used in that level.
A material for the unused noteblock object that was apparently removed from the Modding Tools prior to the game's release.
A material decal of the unused graffiti texture, directly referenced in unused localization in the Beta builds. This material and its texture have long since been removed from the Modding Tools.
A material used by the unused tipping platform object. The object was used in the Beta builds, and thus this material was used there as well.
A material for an early, alternate display likely meant for the TVs on the walls at the start of Train Rush. Uses an unused texture.
A flashing TV screen material. Unknown purpose.
A material whose filename indicates it was related to Murder on the Science Express somehow.
A stylized glass material. Unknown purpose.
A material that, according to its filename, was probably meant to be used in a particle for white smoke.
A material that was meant to be used with the train's windows somehow, according to its filename.
Skyboxes
Two unused skybox materials, meant for versions of Train Rush and Murder on the Science Express that predate the Beta builds.
The Moon
A material for a bird nest that uses an unused texture.
A purple plaster material and green wall material meant for the buildings on The Moon.
A material that uses an unused texture called "grill". Unknown purpose, but parameters in the material can be adjusted to make the image turn red hot.
A glowing gold material. Unknown purpose.
A cyan-colored metal material. Unknown purpose.
A material for windows on The Moon. A different material is used instead.
Two materials meant for the bar that was originally on The Moon. The bar itself was repurposed for DJ Grooves' boss arena.
A red material called "red delete". Unknown purpose.
An animated material for a simple red flag.
Materials for an older version of the big DJ Grooves sign on one of the buildings on The Moon.
An older material for wood for the aforementioned sign also exists.
Non-shiny versions of various signs around The Moon.
Two test materials. The first one is a simple dark grey color, while the second one depicts a fence graphic.
