Hmmm...
To do:
  • I obtained these files from the 2001 re-release. Whoever has any version of this game, including V1.0, please check and see if any of these lines were used in-game.
  • PDB0G03A is used in the game, but I wanted to upload this file here for comparison

TransQuizzer

Filename Audio Subtitles Comments
PDB0G02A
Great choice! Let's see what Polly has planned for this mission! Come on! Probably intended for when you click the start button after selecting a question.
PDB0G02B
Well, here goes nothing. Let's see what's in store for us.
PDB0G02C
That one looks good, let's check it out!
PDB0G03A
Click on the inventory button to put away the TransQuizzer. Three variations of the line where Botley instructs you to put the TransQuizzer away. Only the first one ever plays in-game.

PDB0G03B
"You can put away the transquizzer by clicking on the inventory button."
PDB0G03C
"Go ahead and put the transquizzer away by clicking on the inventory button."

Front Door

Filename Audio Subtitles Comments
FDB0A04B
Good going, now let's go inside! Probably intended as a substitute for the line that plays when you successfully unlock the entrance door. ("That's it, you opened the door!")
FDB0A04C
Cool door, huh? Now follow me.
FDB0F09
Now it's safe 'til we need to use it! If you organize the sound files by their names, this line is positioned with the dialogue for Botley's explanation of the utility belt, so it likely would've been used right after this line:

"In the middle of the belt is the inventory. That's where we can store things we find in the mountain -- the TransQuizzer, for instance."

Scrapped Song (Polly's World)

Stored with the audio for the front door is a placeholder voice clip implying that there would've been a musical number for Polly, titled "Polly's World".

Filename Audio Subtitles
FDP0G05
She sings the song "Polly's World".

There's also an unused conversation between Botley and Polly that relates to the song. It appears that the song was supposed to play right after PDP0G04. Additionally, two of the voice lines (marked in blue) were left over from a scene near the beginning of the game which shows Polly in her father's secret chamber.

Filename Audio Subtitles
FDP0G01
Oh, it's only Botley! He knows I don't like to be disturbed when I'm working. It breaks my concentration!
FDP0G02
Well, if he thinks he's gonna stop me now, I've got news for him; he's got a thing or two to learn before he can match wits with me!
FDB0G03
Alright, Polly! I know you sent those robots back in time, and now the whole world's a mess! You can't do that!
FDP0G04
But that's where you're wrong, I can do anything. In another day, we'll see the dawning of Polly's World.
FDP0G06
Okay, let's see what he wants. This might be fun.

Main Floors

There are nine voice clips of Botley announcing a floor on the mountain as if he were an elevator operator. These were likely intended for when the player transits from one floor to the other. (For example, say you were on the second floor and clicked on the stairway to the first. That would've caused Botley to say one of the first three lines.)

Filename Audio Subtitles
FFB0W01
First floor: linens.
FFB0W02
First floor: junior shoes and accessories.
FFB0W03
First floor: toddler wear.
SFB0W01
Second floor: housewares.
SFB0W02
Second floor: men's apparel.
SFB0W03
Second floor: sporting goods.
TFB0W01
Third floor: lady's wear.
TFB0W02
Third floor: appliances.
TFB0W03
Third floor: hardware and office supplies.

There's also an unused voiceline for Polly. It was probably meant for Botley's introduction to the mountain's first floor.

Filename Audio Subtitles
FFB0L07Z
Not only is Daddy's time machine amazing, Plotley, it's also fun! You should've seen those 25 robots as I whisked them back in time to help me with my quiz!

Funnily enough, the third letter in the filename is 'B' for Botley instead of 'P' for Polly.

Kitchen Door

Filename Audio Subtitles Comments
KDB0A01A
Hey, how'd you figure that out? Now move on the next column. A few congratulatory messages for entering the correct number into each column in the equation.
KDB0A01B
Pretty good. Now onto the next column place.
KDB0A01C
Wow, you're good!
KDB0S03
Click on the arrows on the tiles at the bottom of the equation until the correct number is displayed. Would've been used when the player returns to the kitchen door.

Kitchen

Filename Audio Subtitles Comments
KIP0L07
No, you numskull, he's starving. And if you feed him well, he might just give you what you really need - and I'm not talking about a new brain. An extra line that would've been used during Botley's introduction to the kitchen.
KIB0S01B
Okay, we're back in the kitchen, and I bet our pal, Marvelous Mort, is hungry again. Would've been used when the player returns to the kitchen, in place of Botley's "we're in the kitchen again" line.
KIB0S01C
Here we are, back in the kitchen. I think I can hear Mort's stomach growling.
KIP0LM1
Even when the world's not being threatened by yours truly, Mort is still very hungry. Feed him and I'll make sure he gives you some invention points. Would've been used when the player returns after rescuing all 25 robots, but even in V1.0, it never plays.

Robot Feeder

Filename Audio Subtitles Comments
KMB0S01B
It's feeding time, and I know a hungry robot who's ready to consume. Two extra pairs of lines for Botley and Mort that would've been used when the player returns to the feeding machine. Botley's lines here would've been used in place of his 'chow time' line, while Mort's would've been used in the V1.0 release, in place of his 'all ready' line.
KMH0S02B
It's about time.
KMB0S01C
Watch your fingers and toes! Mort's ready for dinner!
KMH0S02C
Hurry! I can't wait any longer!
KMB0H01B
To measure any of the toppings, click on one of the instruments on the back wall, and then click on the topping you wanna add. Finally, click on the bowl to add the measured ingredient. If you put the wrong amount in the bowl, you can empty it by clicking on the machine's disposal button. An alternate version of Botley's info dialogue for the feeding machine. This line suggests that the machine was going to include a disposal button, which if pressed, would remove the incorrect amount from Mort's bowl. In-game, however, this is done by clicking the on-off switch.
KMH0H001
You'll probably have to add different measurements together to equal exactly what I want. Some extra info about the measurement system that doesn't seem to play in-game, even in V1.0.
KMH0H002
You might think about adding fractions to give me what I need. Just remember that two quarter cups equal one half cup and that two halves, three thirds, and four quarters are all equal to one cup.
KMH0H003
If you're measuring large numbers, separate them into place values, then add the correct amount for each place value to my bowl.
KMH0H004
These are metric measurements. Just remember that one liter is the same as a thousand milliliters, and it might save you some time. By the way, one liter is just a little more than a quart.
KMH0H005
In case it's helpful, a quart is equal to four cups, and four quarts make one gallon.

Art Gallery

Filename Audio Subtitles Comments
AGB0G08A
Okay, let's search through the professor's virtual collection for the right work of art. You can do it. Mrs. Beasley will help. Three pairs of unused lines for Botley and Mrs. Beasley. These likely would've been used after Polly relays the clue for the painting you need to find.
AGB0G09A
Of course, my dear Botley.
AGB0G08B
Hmm, that shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Let's check the virtual collection for the right work. Mrs. Beasley can help.
AGB0G09B
It would be a pleasure.
AGB0G08C
We've gotta look through the virtual collection for the right work of art. Mrs. Beasley will help.
AGB0G09C
There's nothing I would enjoy more.
AGP0LM1
Let's see, Plotley: If you can figure out which work of art I'm thinking about, I'll give you some invention points. This line was supposed to be used when you click on the virtual collection after rescuing all 25 robots, but when you do so in-game, nothing happens. This was likely due to a programming error. On the other hand, you can still access the activity via the progress report.

Painting Gallery

There are three lines that would've been used if the player idles during the painting gallery activity. In the finished game, doing so in this activity doesn't seem to trigger any of this dialogue.

Filename Audio Subtitles
PMBD01A
Let's get going here, we've got robots to rescue!
PMBD01B
I realize that artists need time to reflect, but keep in mind that we've gotta save the world!
PMBD01C
Uh, are you suffering from artist's block?

Music Hall Door

Four placeholder recordings of Bothoven's in-game lines.

Unused Used Subtitles
Now, Botley, if I just gave you the answers, Polly would reboot me in a heartbeat, but if you're really having trouble figuring out one of the words, click on the button next to it, and I'll see what I can do. Good luck!
No need to shout, Botley! I'm here and ready to help if you need it.
I'm not totally deaf, you know. Just let me know if you need a few pointers!
Please, I'm trying to finish this symphony, but I'll be here if you need help!

Wheel of Invention

Filename Audio Subtitles Comments
TAB0A01A
Alright, you've figured out the first piece of information! Onward! Several congratulatory messages implying that the game would've had you obtaining three mission clues instead of four.
TAB0A01B
One down, two to go, you can do it!
TAB0A01C
Phew, that was a toughie! Well, two more to go!
TAB0A02A
After all we've been through together, you still don't fail to amaze me! One clue left!
TAB0A02B
You've got the second clue! We're so close! One more to go!
TAB0A02C
Two down, one clue to go, then away we go!
TAB0A03A
Oh, yes! The final clue is history!
TAB0A03B
That's amazing! I don't know how you got that last clue!
TAB0A03C
Ta-da! You got the final clue!
TAB0D01A
So close and yet so far! We need to get that robot back and quick! Let's start before it's too late! Several voice lines that would've been used if you idle around. Like the painting gallery activity, doing so in this area doesn't seem to trigger any of this dialogue.
TAB0D01B
Time waits for no robot! Let's get the information we need and scoot outta here!
TAB0D01C
What's the matter? Are ya nervous? Try to think of it this way: the fate of the world is in your hands. That's all. Feel better?
TAB0D02A
I know, I know, I don't like some stranger asking me a bunch of questions either, but what are you gonna do? We have to save the world!
TAB0D02B
We've come this far! You can't freeze on me now!
TAB0D02C
Come on, deep clensing breath. In...(inhales) ....and out...(exhales). There! Now will you get on the stick and start playing?
TAB0H01A
The Wheel of Invention is where we can figure out how to bring back Polly's time-meddling robot. Using all the mission clues you found in the mountain, the wheel can tell us our exact destination in history. Would've been used when you click the help button. None of this dialogue is triggered when you do so in this area.
TAB0H01B
When Monty asks you a question, click on the answer you think is correct. If you're right, you'll go to the next question! If you're wrong, you'll have to try again, but for fewer points.

There's even voice clips of Monty Monitor reading all the possible answers to every question he asks in the entire game.

Note: There are 25 missions in the entire game, and each mission is comprised of 12 questions. Each question has three possible answers, giving us an overall total of 900. Because of this, I've decided to just include the first three questions.

Time Machine

Filename Audio Subtitles Comments
TMB0A01A
Now let's return to the robot collection and put this little guy where he belongs. Probably would've been used after you travel back to the present time with the robot in tow.
TMB0A01B
Yes, I'm psyched! Now let's get this guy back to his cubicle!
TMB0A01C
What a trip! I bet my buddy here could use some shut-eye back in the robot barracks!
TMB0H01A
We're inside the Professor's time machine, the last step of this mission! All we need to do is go back in time, grab Polly's robot, and return to the present, then the world can take a step back from the brink of disaster! Similar to the wheel of invention, these two lines would've been used when the help button is clicked on, but doing so in this area does nothing.
TMB0H01B
To grab Polly's robot and bring it inside, press the recall button beneath the window -- the one with the little hand on it. It's clean, fast, and painless.
