This cactus is UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
Hmmm...
To do:
Document unused shaders and gmat files.

Unused Special Materials

Hmmm...
To do:
Get pictures of the materials in-game.

Unused materials that are separated from the rest because they have special and unique properties. All of the materials that are on this list are here.

Gold

This material can be seen in pre-release gameplay. It uses the same gold textures that are used on the bevel for the Aztec Gold material from the final game. In terms of a bevel, it has a unique rounded appearance that isn't used on any other material. It has a unique .mat file that is used to determine its physical properties.

Orrible

The most well-known material from this list, this was an early version of the Fire Hazard. It doesn't work properly anymore, however, because it was replaced. It has a unique effect where it changes its brightness that makes it look like it's burning. It has a unique .mat file that is used to determine its physical properties.

Chi

This material was used for the Creative Zones at one point in development, before eventually being scrapped. Whatever textures it used to use, they've been replaced, and it now resembles more of a glassy material than what can be seen in development videos. A bevel texture map for it exists, but it doesn't have a unique bevel in the files anymore. It has a unique .mat file that is used to determine its physical properties.

Fluid

This material isn't seen in any pre-release footage, so it's unknown what it was supposed to look like or do. It has a unique .mat file that is used to determine its physical properties, along with several shaders and its own .bev file.

Unused Materials

Hmmm...
To do:
Document each of the materials separately, and get pictures of the materials in-game.

Dubbed "Dark Glass" by members of the game's community, this material has the properties and texture of Dark Matter but is transparent and has sharp edges like Glass. It can be found in some Gardens levels.

Unused Material Textures

There are unused materials within the game's data.
