This is a sub-page of Prerelease:Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge.

A demo build seen in Inside Microsoft's Xbox: The X Factor and IGN. This was around the time when the development team decided to delay the game's release and make improvements on gameplay, scrapping the "interactive movie" concept.

There are some differences compared to the final:

  • The demo showcases a work-in-progress version of the reworked campaign levels.
    • The demo notably contained a prototype version of "The Spider Menace" mission.
      • The mission featured different enemy placements such as a unmarked zeppelin that wasn't present in the final, and the non-existence of tesla zeppelins.
      • The map layout of Chicago looked slightly different to the final.
      • The build introduces an early version of the Zepeater. Unlike the final, the player had to disable the tesla cannons in order to open the zeppelin's razor jaws and destroy the power core inside the zeppelin; instead of energy cells at the side of the zeppelin.
        • The entry to the interior for the Zepeater's power core does not exist in this build.
  • When the player completes a mission, it will display "Mission Successful".
    • The build also featured a "big band" rendition when the mission is completed; reminiscent to the PC game.
  • The build introduces the mechanic on being able to man a zeppelin's AA gun and switching planes.
  • The title screen is changed to feature the box art cover of the game.
  • The game's intended finalized UI is tweaked to place the Money HUD and Timer HUD on the top center.
    • The Timer HUD's font is changed to match closely to the final game.
